This article explores the functional discourse of the units within the pilgrimage term system in English and Uzbek languages. It examines how cultural, religious, and linguistic contexts shape the terminology associated with pilgrimage, highlighting similarities and differences between the two languages. Through a comparative analysis, the study identifies key lexical units, their meanings, and their usage in various discursive contexts, including religious texts, travel literature, and everyday conversation. The findings reveal how language reflects cultural values and practices related to pilgrimage, providing insights into the broader socio-cultural dynamics at play. This research contributes to the fields of linguistics, cultural studies, and religious studies by illuminating the intricate relationship between language and pilgrimage experiences in diverse cultural settings.
